Assistant Principal- Ms. Barbash

Dear Chippens Hill Middle School Community,

I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself as your Assistant Principal! I am excited to join this community and eager to embark on this journey alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students. 

As an educator, I value relationship building and collaboration. As we welcome staff, students, and families to Chippens Hill Middle School this year, whether new or returning, I look forward to being a part of building a great community together. I firmly believe that when educators, students, and families work together as a team, we create an environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I have had the privilege to teach both in elementary and middle school environments, and this work has reinforced my commitment to creating inclusive, empathetic, and supportive learning environments where students and families feel seen, heard, and valued. 

Beyond education, I love to learn about different cultures, celebrate diversity, and explore new perspectives. Outside of school, you can often find me on the golf course, playing volleyball, or relaxing at the beach with family and friends. You’ll also quickly learn that as a proud UConn alum, I will be non-stop talking about and cheering on both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams! Go Huskies! 

I am truly looking forward to learning about what makes this community special and celebrating our shared successes this year!
