Verification Before Posting on Social Media

Posted Date: 04/02/26 (08:00 AM)

Dear Families,
I am writing to ask for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe, calm, and supportive school community.
We understand that students may share information at home about situations they perceive at school, particularly when it comes to safety. While these conversations are important, we ask that families exercise due diligence before posting or sharing such information on social media.

If you have questions or concerns about something you have heard, please reach out directly to your school’s administration so we can verify the information and provide accurate context. Our administrators are committed to transparency and are always available to address concerns.

Posting unverified or unfounded information can unintentionally create unnecessary anxiety, fear, and confusion within our community. It can also divert valuable time and resources as school staff work to investigate and correct misinformation.
By working together and communicating directly, we can ensure that our school community remains informed, supportive, and focused on the well-being of all students and staff.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,

Iris White
Superintendent of Schools
